About Maral
Maral is a costumer, artist and dancer who loves textiles of all kinds; she has been interested in Japanese culture for most of her life but started getting into kimono in 1999. She has a modern style of wearing kimono, similar to the styles being worn by trendy young women in Japan.
Maral also has experience dressing others in kimono and instructing others on wearing kimono, as well as being available as a kimono-clad hostess for events. She has also given numerous presentations about kimono and Japanese textiles and is available both for dressing and for speaking about kimono. Maral also makes kanzashi (Japaense style hair flowers). About Kisa
Kisa lived in Nagoya from 2006 to 2010, where she wore kimono almost weekly for fashion in addition to Koto performances. She has an awareness of modern Nagoya kimono trends and the (sometimes huge) differences in wearing kimono for Koto events compared to fashion. She's versed in seasonality of motifs and loves contemporary kimono fashion. Kisa is experienced in dressing others, and additionally she offers a section of her collection for rent via Fuuga Kimono.
